The VP Sales will open the US grocery distribution, retail grocery, mass and club markets. PLEASE NOTE: This position will start as a long-term contractor. As the company flourishes through your efforts, staff will be hired and the position is slated to become an FTE. Attractive contractor compensation during the ramp up period.

Role Responsibilities:
• In this senior role, help influence, shape, develop and implement the go-to-market strategy for the marketplace. Continually evaluate the market to define and correct the strategy.
• Open the US market with grocery distribution and key retail relationships.
• Agreement on the goals will be established: sales volume, margin, and financial goals.
• Forecasting and transfer of information to HQ: enable the supply chain to exceed customer expectations by providing up to date forecasts and market development reporting.
• Establish and manage distribution and customer relationships, building long term relationships.
• Coordinate Commercial efforts end execute the strategy by segment and region.
• Maximize profitability per project and the company's portfolio.
• Manage market information, customers, competitors, products, as well as acquire it.

Qualifications and Experience:
• CPG or fresh produce successful sales experience.
• Proven ability to both open new grocery, mass and club channels as well as grow established relationships for added volume.
• Very attractive but not required: working relationships with local, regional and national grocery and fresh produce distributors. Experienced and willing to open new distribution relationships.
• BS/BA degree required
• 12 + years of sales experience in the consumer products industry
• A proven track record of success leading and developing high performing teams
• Face to face selling skills, negotiation skills, and the ability to influence a build positive relationships.
• Spanish speaking skills are preferred but not required.
• Willingness to travel weekly.
