Growing multi-billion-dollar food manufacturer, providing one of America’s best loved brands is seeking a Strategic Planning Manager. This professional ssupports the CEO in all long term strategic decisions to help the company achieve their financial goals. Evaluates best use of the company’s resources by defining and planning the strategic and long-range goals. Evaluates existing plans to ensure growth and profitability and makes adjustments as necessary. Analyzes, plans, researches, and develops the company’s objectives and strategic plans in order to achieve business opportunities, growth, and financial profitability.
Position in Dallas TX. Local candidates only please.

1. Responsible for developing long-term goals and strategic objectives for an organization.
2. Responsible for recommending financial and non-financial strategic alternatives and developing and maintaining operational plans.
3. Conducts special projects and business analyses across the business.
4. Performs market analysis and strategy studies. Develops deep understanding of emerging market opportunities.
5. Provides business advice using technology, data services, and change management to improve capital allocation decisions, reduce costs and increase effectiveness of financial activities.
6. Creates complex Excel models to prepare accurate sales and market forecasts, and develops comprehensive budgets by accurately assessing each market for future sales.
7. Analyzes and interprets profit and loss reports and other financial statements to monitor financial performance and ensure profitability.
8. Establishes profitable and competitive product pricing.
9. Determines distribution channels based on local logistics.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or accounting required
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• 2 years strategic planning, functional management experience, food/beverage or CPG industries preferred.
• Working knowledge of business practices and processes.
• Work effectively across multiple teams and functions.
• Ability to draw conclusions, prioritize and recommend key opportunities.
• Leadership, interpersonal, communications and analytic skills.
• Experience with syndicated and consumer data is valued, including AC Nielsen, Dunnhumby, Account’s data systems, and Retail Sales data systems such as Panorama.
• Extensive ability to utilize all MicroSoft Office software, particularly Excel to include Pivot Tables, VLookups, Formulas, and Macros.
• Ability to interact with many different people and build rapport.
• Ability to sell the benefits of a particular project, to negotiate with a person and persuade them in a beneficial way.
• Able to plan long term goals and the short-term activities to achieve them and to prioritize activities and anticipate problems.
• Able to effectively communicate through oral and written communication.
